Wish List

The Kerouac Project is a young organization with a proven record of accomplishment. Book and Music Festivals made possible by major donations are important as fund raisers and as a means of informing the public about our activities. Your donations, large or small, will help us accomplish still more, and will reinforce our status as a publicly supported 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

We need donations to help us support our writers in residence

We need each quarter:
  • Gift certificates for local stores, especially grocery and office supply stores
  • Gift certificates for local restaurants
  • Tickets to nearby attractions
  • Travel vouchers
  • Cleaning service between residencies
  • Basic telephone service

We need new (or nearly new) replacements for the ancient items at the Kerouac House:
  • Desktop Computer (Received--Thank you Darden)
  • Kitchen stove (Received--Thank you Kim Buchheit and Mike Robinson)
  • DSL Service (Received--Thank you Kim Buchheit and Mike Robinson )

We need to move toward realizing more dreams for our writers:
  • One of our dreams has been to send a writer "on the road".
  • Another dream is to offer residencies at the second house on the Kerouac property.
  • Yet another dream is to be able to help publish works our writers in residence have written at the Kerouac House.

To help forward our work and help inform the public about it, we need:
  • Printing services from time to time. One of those times is NOW.
  • A part-time paid staffer to assist our all-volunteer board.
  • An ongoing fund dedicated toward the collection of literary artifacts for display at area museums.
